What We Offer
Our Customers
History
U.S. Valve Services & Training, Inc. started over a decade ago as part of
another company called Sealweld Corporation, which was in the business of
supplying the pipeline industry with valve maintenance products and equipment.
In the process of supplying these items, Sealweld was asked by customers to
occasionally help with a valve maintenance problem or instruct their personnel
on how to do so. Soon enough, more customers, lacking either the knowledge or
the right personnel, began to request the same services and the technicians
started to travel across the United States more. The Service Division of
Sealweld Corporation was well under way in the early 1990's, signing multiple
service contracts with pipeline companies like Tennessee Gas Pipeline. It was
closely followed by the Training Division, as requests for the Valve Maintenance
Training & Safety School kept pouring in.
In January 1997 both divisions were combined and made a separate entity,
Sealweld Services & Training, Inc. By this time over a dozen service and
training contracts had been signed, and over 200 service jobs and training
schools were being performed each year. Our service and training personnel were
recognized as the leaders in their field, offering the pipeline industry the
fines of valve maintenance services and training available.
U.S. Valve Services & Training, Inc. was born in March 2000, after the employees
of Sealweld Services & Training, Inc. decided to buy that company and form their
own organization, taking years of experience and a first class reputation with
them. Today U.S. Valve holds contracts with nearly every major pipeline company
in the country and performs approximately 250-200 service jobs and training
classes in all 50 states. Our people are drug-tested, fully-insured and drive
company service vehicles. We take pride in being not only the finest service
organization in the industry, but also the safest, having had not one loss time
accident in the history of U.S. Valve or Sealweld.
What We Offer
With over 50 years combined experience, our highly skilled valve technicians
have a working knowledge of virtually every type of valve, and are available 24
hours a day, 7 days a week. Some of the services U.S. Valve offers include:
- Yearly routine valve maintenance
- Valve and actuator troubleshooting
- Freeing seized or hard-to-turn valves
- Perform emergency valve sealing
- Commissioning of newly-installed valves
- Ensure valve integrity on construction and rehab jobs
- Repair and rebuilding operators
All service work is thoroughly documented and returned to the
customer in written and computer disk form, including recommendations for the
future.
U.S. Valve also offers pipeline companies the most comprehensive Valve
Maintenance Training Class in the industry today. This course is dedicated to
educating pipeline personnel on the safe and proper valve maintenance
techniques. This school is performed in either 1 or 2 days, with the trainer
traveling to the necessary field locations. Students have the option of learning
both valve maintenance theory in the classroom and "hands on" training in the
field. Some of the topics covered in the class include:
- Troubleshooting different types of ball, gate and plug
valves
- The proper use of cleaners, lubricants, sealants and
packings
- The use of various fittings and adapters
- The use and maintenance of different lubrication equipment
In addition to these services, U.S. Valve also carries a
complete line of valve maintenance products, fittings and adapters, lubrication
equipment, and can provide gun repair services.
